Enterprise Network Engineering

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in enterprise network engineering, designed to cover both theoretical and practical aspects of designing, managing, and securing complex network infrastructures. Students will gain expertise in network architecture, IP addressing, routing and switching, security protocols, network management, virtualization, and SDN. The course also includes hands-on labs, real-world scenarios, and preparation for certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, and others.

Objectives:

  • Understand the principles and components of enterprise networks.

  • Gain expertise in network design, scalability, and fault tolerance.

  • Master IP addressing, routing, switching, and VLAN configuration.

  • Apply network management and monitoring tools effectively.

  • Develop proficiency in virtualization and software-defined networking.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize enterprise networks.

  • Complete a capstone project demonstrating real-world network design and implementation.

Prerequisites:

Basic knowledge of computer networks, including familiarity with the OSI and TCP/IP models. Familiarity with general IT concepts and basic troubleshooting is recommended. Some familiarity with network hardware and configurations may be beneficial but is not required.
