BIM (Revit) and Model Management

The Revit and Model Management course is a designed to teach the skills needed to effectively integrate Revit models with Facility Management System (FMS). The goal of the class is to familiarize participants with the concepts of BIM and the practical requirements of coordinating and using Revit models. The course is also designed to guide participants through the administration and daily use of the FMS Extension for Revit, demonstrate the tools available for integrating both logical and graphical BIM data with FMS, and realize the potential of BIM to support lifecycle space and asset management.

  • Understand BIM, IWMS and BIM Execution Plans

  • Catalog assets and spaces in FMS

  • Develop BIM models for facility management

  • Develop BIM objects and parameters

  • Map BIM models to FMS

  • Manage space with Revit

  • Manage assets with Revit

  • Publish floor plans for FM

  • Geocode models

Prerequisites:

  • Basic facility management knowledge
